My THoughts:

I recently told a friend that this Pepper Basham book is not a movie–it is a mini-series. Packed full of action, heart, and romance, The Thorn Keeper leaves an impact long after the final words are read. I adored Catherine’s journey of growth, as a person and in her faith. Bittersweet but beautiful, the romance between Catherine and David is one that I certainly won’t forget. And I’ll go ahead and warn you: I’ll likely be talking about it for a long time. It’s just so good! I truly enjoyed this book (and this series!), so I highly recommend it for fans of historical romances with a strong inspirational aspect. I also highly recommend it for emotional cheese puffs like myself.

David Ross. All of the heart eyes for Dave! Intelligent, introverted, and slightly ignorant when it comes to women, our beloved doctor certainly has his hands full with spunky Catherine. But his heart of gold and his gentle nature earns the BB Trophy. And he tastes like Christmas, so who can possibly compete with that?!

Pepper Basham is an award-winning author who writes romance peppered with grace and humor with southern Appalachian flair. Both her historical and contemporary novels have garnered recognition in the Grace Awards, Inspys, and ACFW Carol Awards. Her historical romance, The Thorn Healer, was a finalist in the 2018 RT Awards. Her most recent historical romance, My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge, showcases her Appalachian heritage and history, as well as her love for humor and family.
