Levi Bennett is just trying to keep his head above water. Juggling the finances of a struggling inn and playing the role of big brother to his two younger sisters is more than enough to fill his plate. But the inn’s newest guest brings problems of her own and Levi can’t seem to ignore them . . . or her.
Riding the wave of a very public scandal and ended engagement, movie star Mia Emerson checks into the Bluebell Inn to lick her wounds and recover. When an old family journal indicates a hidden treasure, she soon finds herself seeking the help of the innkeeper. As Mia and Levi spend more time together, they discover something even more valuable than the treasure they hunt.

My Thoughts:
“There were three women in the house, and they were all mad at him for different reasons. That took a special kind of talent.”
Goodness, friends. I’ve been anxious to read Levi’s story for a hot second. The weight of the world rests on his shoulders and if you look closely, you’ll find a son just trying to keep a promise under his control freak aura. I spent the first half of the book wanting to knock some sense into him, but it would be out of love because I honestly love Levi so much.
“She’d believed a lie for too long. It had caused her to hold back, and that was self-sabotage. If she was going to get her life together–and she was–she had to believe she was worthy of love, even if people left her. Even if everyone left her.”
Mia Emerson is a gem. She completely surprised me and I loved her development throughout the novel. There’s so much more to her than meets the eye! I loved the slow, sweet unfolding of her relationship with Levi as it reflected the nature of both characters to truly analyze before jumping in. It made the happily-ever-after that much more sweet. And the lessons that Levi and Mia learn are so beautifully handled.
“‘I’m sure you’ve got a million people in your corner–I just wanted you to know I’m one of them.'”
It’s taking everything in me not to type in all caps right now, but readers get to see more of Adam and Molly in this novel! I was so happy. They’re still so perfectly them and I live for it.
I loved this addition to the series and I’m honestly looking forward to Grace’s story! Carolina Breeze is available now, so go get it.
I’m so thankful for a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley and Thomas Nelson. All expressed opinions are mine.

Book Boyfriend(S):
Levi has owned a piece of my heart since Lake Season. He’s realistic and logical (and probably an enneagram 1, let’s be honest), so watching him lose his mind a little as he lost his heart was such fun. There’s a softie hiding under that pragmatic exterior and I love it. But I’m also #TeamAdam all day, every single day. So we get TWO Book Boyfriends this round because I’m the blogger and I can do that. 🙂
