My Thoughts:
I have ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of the feelings about this one. This is only my second Tammy L. Gray experience, but my goodness. I like her books. I like her books a lot.
I dreaded this book simply because I read the first in the series and wasn’t a huge Bryson fan. Like, at all. I had no clue how I was supposed to sit through an entire book where he played the hero. More than that, I had no clue how I was supposed to love him like everyone else seemed to love him when they finished it.
But I come to you today as a changed woman, with my allegiance thrown so quickly in Bryson’s direction that I even surprised myself. In fact, at one point in the book, my Kindle notes actually say, “PROTECT BRYSON AT ALL COSTS”. Yep, in all caps. Which means I felt it. Deeply.
I have strong feelings about other members of the cast (I’m looking at you, Cam), but I’ll be darned if Bryson and Charlie and the dogs didn’t absolutely charm my socks off. Good heavens. And the struggling and wrestling that Darcy encounters with her faith throughout the book is so spot on. How do we handle disappointment and disillusionment, especially when we feel like we’ve given God our everything and we’ve received nothing but scraps of chaos and heartbreak in return?
This book is just good. I can’t say it any other way. If you’re looking for real characters and a pretty swoony romance, this is the ticket. It’s available now, and if you haven’t read the first in the series, do that as well!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All expressed opinions belong to me.

Book Boyfriend:
Bryson, believe it or not. When I tell you that Gray has worked miracles in this reader’s heart, I’m not kidding. He’s a wounded puppy with a burr in his paw, but what a difference some love and attention from a dog trainer can make. IT’S JUST PERFECT, OKAY?!
