My Thoughts:
I just want to live in Maple Falls! Kathleen Fuller manages to make this place feel like home for anyone who has lived in and loved a small town.
Though this book is a romance, it’s the whole cast of characters that really makes the story work. I could see them all gathering for softball practice or hanging out at Erma’s yarn shop, and I just wanted to be part of their community. Riley was a bit of a hard sell simply because she’s so adamant about pushing people away, but I loved the way her people loved on her despite the difficulty. Because of the feel of the novel, it reads like a Hallmark movie. Which is a compliment because I love Hallmark movies!
Hooked on You isn’t a light read by any means, but it skirts on the edge of depth. Fuller created a gold mine of emotional nuances with these characters and I would have liked more development of certain aspects, but overall this book delivers a sweet contemporary romance with elements of faith.

Book Boyfriend:
Hayden. He’s so patient and friendly that it’s hard not to love him. He certainly doesn’t have an easy road, but I love that he chooses to press forward in life rather than focusing on his loss. He deserves good things.
