My Thoughts:

I just love this book. It’s like it’s own little Christmas gift, like stocking stuffers packed together in one bundle of words. So wonderful!

“A Texas Christmas Carol” was super clever! I truly enjoyed this twist on A Christmas Carol. Felicity is walking sunshine, and I loved how she didn’t ignore Evan’s grumpiness so much as see through it to the heart of the man underneath. I always love the grumpy meets sunshine situation, but I especially love it with Witemeyer‘s trademark humor thrown in.

“An Archer Family Christmas” made me so happy! It was like being among friends again, with the whole Archer clan represented. But in true Archer fashion, danger and drama aren’t far behind the beloved family. This novella was hard on the heart, but was such a demonstration of God’s kindness even when life doesn’t work out the way we want it to.

“Gift of the Heart” was so precious! I loved this beautiful reimagining of Ruth and Boaz’s story. Though I loved all of the novellas, this one was probably my favorite just because it hit all of the right notes for this emotional cheese puff. Bo is the loveliest wounded hero, with a heart of gold. Naomi is hilarious and adorable and curious–absolutely everything a little girl is supposed to be. And Naomi is the epitome of strength and goodness, keeping hope while she works hard for her little family. I loved these characters and their interactions with one another. They’re just too sweet!

This book is like a Christmas handbook, with lovely novellas, recipes, a devotion, and some interesting Christmas history to explore. I highly recommend this one for fans of Witemeyer, fans of Christian historical fiction, and/or fans of Christmas goodness! It’s available now, so don’t waste any time grabbing it for all of the holiday feels.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the author. All expressed opinions belong to me.

How is a girl supposed to choose?! Who in their right mind puts Witemeyer heroes against one another and attempts to pick a superior man? It simply isn’t done. Don’t waste your time trying. Just sample all of the heroes, love them accordingly, and thank the good Lord above that you aren’t forced to make impossible decisions. 🙂
