My Thoughts:

What. A. Ride.

Friends, we hit the ground running from the very first page and we do not let up on the action. Several times throughout the book, I actually said out loud, “OF COURSE *insert event* is happening! It’s been a few pages since we’ve been on the brink of death.” And if that makes it seem like this book is predictable, you’d be wrong. I never knew what was coming around the corner next; I simply knew something was definitely coming around the corner.

I loved that I didn’t see any huge plot points coming. Like, at all. I also loved the delicate blend that Goddard managed to capture between the suspense and the romance. Neither genre is more developed than the other, and I truly felt that the romance aspect was handled in a very natural way.

I know this is the second in the series, but I enjoyed this book even more than the first. Color me impressed! Deadly Target is available now.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the publisher. All expressed opinions belong to me.

Book Boyfriend:

Nathan. He loves his people well and he’s simply trying to do his best by everyone. He knows when to push Erin and he knows when to give her space. And love his heart, he shows up right on time in typical hero fashion. You can’t read this book and NOT love Nathan. It simply isn’t possible.
